How about getting a part time job? You might actually make your own 'miracle' happen. Instead of spending your time online begging for money you should be doing what you can to control your own destiny. What skills do you have now? What would you like to learn to do to support yourself? Sometimes employers will pay you as an apprentice (you have to be careful you aren't taken advantage of though) just to learn their trade.

Seriously, you need to adjust your thinking or your college educated ass will join so many of the people (deserving and un-deserving) at the welfare office. You're only 19, but you have to try to think things out like an adult. What would your adult role model do? How would he/she try to make things happen for their situation? There are no easy fixes and begging isn't a satisfying answer (for most normal people). We all have to work hard to make things happen for ourselves.

I answered his ad for promotional help and he was not offering much for that either. Most people do not understand that loading, setup, standing for hours, handling a crowd, cash hadnling under pressure, counting inventory at the end of the night, re packing and breakdown...all the while keeping a smile on your face is NOT easy work. He was some country artist from out of state, and did not seem very professional in my opinion. Some people just want other people to work hard to make THEM look better and don't expect to pay...good luck in the long run!!

Attention to those who think 2 hours of professional work which also requires professional equipment is merely worth anything under $100 (Let alone $50! Oh wait, he did say $5.00 for the tapes, how nice).

Quick tips to the above mentioned persons:

- Interviews are never "5 minutes" long; the setup, which could be anywhere from 20mins-60mins, depending on the sound/lighting/etc.
-"Nice camera" is not descriptive...Please list specifics(i.e. HD, SD, 3CCD, etc.)
-"Be prepared for using lights" is vague, please at least describe how big this stage is, where the lights can be placed, where the AC outlets in the event are, etc.
- Asking someone to bring a "nice camera" (I assumed at least a 3CCD), "great sounds", which hopefully means microphone and/or XLR cables to connect cam with event mixer, and a light kit (lighting a 5-piece band could run at around $500 for a cheap lighting kit, it would most likely be a kit around $1,500) is rediculous when you are offering $50.

Academic Year in the U.S.A. gears up to welcome record number of exchange students to Central & Southern California for 2008/2009!

Each school year, AYUSA International, a non-profit, Department of State regulated student exchange program, welcomes close to 2000 foreign exchange students from over 60 countries worldwide. AYUSA students live with volunteer American host families and attend high schools throughout the United States. It is a life-impacting experience for the students, host families and communities where they live.

This upcoming school year, the Central & Southern California AYUSA team, led, in part, by host father and AYUSA Regional Director, John Jackson, intends to focus on bringing more exchange students to his area of the state!

I guess I�m calling on angels here. My family consists of me, my son, and my daughter. My daughter is 13 and my son is 7 years old. I was ill for almost 6 months and my children were beyond amazing. They helped me around the house, they didn�t act up�and they were so strong. I am finally back on my feet and going back to work. My daughter�s birthday is the end of August and I would love it if I could get her a Nintendo DS for her birthday. It�s what she wants �more than anything� as kids say�the thing is I am a single parent, the breadwinner paying all the bills. I was on disability but how quickly that went, and things are very tight right now. My son�s in soccer which basically eats up the fun money and here we are.

I�m figuring this will be spammed�but I know there are people out there with big hearts just like us. Times are tough for everyone - absolutely- but maybe someone out there has a Target gift card they�re not using�or even a Nintendo Ds!
