We don't need these con artists making money off of our blood, sweat and passion. These people are the ones that have no talent and think they are music moguls throwing up the peace sign in myspace pictures next to D list acts. WE DON'T NEED YOU. YOU ARE NOT GETTING ANYONE RICH. NOT EVEN YOURSELF. I want to mention the name of a specific "promoter" but I will do nothing to promote his make shift con.

If anyone has a problem with me sticking up for people who pour there heart out on stage just to get it in the ass by some talent-less promoter.. SAY SOMETHING.. These people make me sick.

I'm not perfect. I (once upon a time) was so stoked to get a show from one of these people. They make you feel like just by playing a show on a Wednesday night for $25 bucks a ticket (and you have to sell 500 tickets for a club that has a 200 person capacity) you will have the time of your life and get signed to a major label.. Greetings...moving to Thousand Oaks from North Carolina in December. Looking to explore world music improv music with other Global thinkers. I've been told where I'm moving blues and world improv music is a dead subject for local jamming. Hard for me to believe that even when it's not obvious.

I'm a world folk hand drummer (I play hand percussive drums from around the world). Spent some time (in mississippi)discovering slide blues guitar (early acoustic delta style) as well as making my own African string instruments (Akonting and dono ngoni, including making my own banjo) flutes and other percussive and string instruments...Have written many world music pieces and willing to listen to others.

Interested in exploring world improv Jazz, playing some of my art based instruments. I'm bringing with me a set (3) of early classic Trinidadian steel drums. Don't know how to play them yet but I will spend alot of tme with once I'm there. Not into cover music or smoke filled places but folks who appreciate creativity......

Guitarist/vox and bass player in Ventura looking for the right drummer for a existing project in the vein of old Modest Mouse, TV on the Radio, Kings of Leon, interpol, the dead science etc. We both have plenty of gigging and recording experience, are writing new material and want someone who is willing to contribute to the project.

The right drummer would be someone who is technically proficient with his/her instrument and can provide creative input. Not just beat skins. We're not looking for a "math drummer", however. We are looking to do something that is both simple and dynamic. No need to play in 10/8. Neither of us consider ourselves gifts to music (read egotistical) and don't expect you to be the next Neil Peart. We just want someone solid and fun and someone that doesn't have any hold backs. Must be able to play shows and tour for 2 weeks in the future. The band is currently on a label and finishing an album with john debaun(mars volta engineer/live sound tech.

Our band is looking to finalize the deal by adding a singer. We currently have over 15 original songs and have 15 more or so in the mix. The songs are reminescent of a Jane's Addiction album. Some are heavy and some are super mellow.

Our families are our first priority, while making music is a close second. We are looking for a singer that is a bit older, 30 or so, and has an ego on stage, and none off of.

I can handle all of the guitar parts, so we are not necessarily looking for another guitarist. However, if you are a singer and you like to play guitar as well, we can make things work out.

Guitarist and bass player in Ventura looking for the right drummer for a existing project in the vein of old Modest Mouse, TV on the Radio, Kings of Leon, interpol, the dead science etc. We both have plenty of gigging and recording experience, are writing new material and want someone who is willing to contribute to the project.

The right drummer would be someone who is technically proficient with his/her instrument and can provide creative input. Not just beat skins. We're not looking for a "math drummer", however. We are looking to do something that is both simple and dynamic. No need to play in 10/8. Neither of us consider ourselves gifts to music (read egotistical) and don't expect you to be the next Neil Peart. We just want someone solid and fun and someone that doesn't have any hold backs. Must be able to play shows and tour for 2 weeks in the future. The band is currently on a label and finishing an album with john debaun(mars volta engineer/live sound tech.

If you like what you're reading and have some decent chops, get back to us. The sooner, the better. This project needs to get on its feet again.

Guitarist/sometimes Vocalist and Drummer looking for other musicians. Due to our band nearly falling apart this year we are on the search for some awesome musicians. We need a bass player the most. If I could find someone to take the vocal duties away from me that would be awesome too. But we really need a bass player. Any other instruments are welcome to contact us aswell
INfluences are vast but mainly. Foo Fighters, Muse, Polyphonic Spree, Rise Against, Rush...etc.etc.
As far as material is concerned, I can send you some rough versions of the newer stuff that we are going to do if you are serious.

You should have transportation ( we have a small rehearsal spot in ventura, downtown)
Have gear that is dependable and good
The biggest problem weve had with other band members is our drug policy. We smoke weed and drink and like to party. If you are not cool with that then dont even respond. We really want someone who is going to have the same addictions as us. So 420 is a big plus for you
You should be able to help with songwriting.

Guitarist and bass player in Ventura looking for the right drummer for a new project in the vein of old Modest Mouse, TV on the Radio, Kings of Leon, etc. We both have plenty of gigging and recording experience, are writing new material and want someone who is willing to contribute to the project.

The right drummer would be someone who is technically proficient with his/her instrument and can provide creative input. Not just beat skins. We're not looking for a "math drummer", however. We are looking to do something that is both simple and dynamic. No need to play in 10/8. Neither of us consider ourselves gifts to music (read egotistical) and don't expect you to be the next Neil Peart. We just want someone solid and fun.
