Overview: Up for sale is an exquisite lithograph by acclaimed Vietnamese/French master, Hoi Lebadang (1921-2015). Lebadang emigrated to France from Vietnam and fought with the French resistance in WWII. He later took up lithography and his art has been met with worldwide acclaim. This piece is a lithograph on artist's paper entitled, "Sun and Horse." It depicts a figure on a horse under a glaring sun, looking at forest in the distance. A fine example of his work. It is pencil-signed "Hoi" at lower right and numbered (135/275) at lower left. Print is nicely matted and framed under glass in a two-tone wood frame.
Condition: Print is in excellent condition. Matting has some wear, including a spot at upper center. Glass has some minor scuffing. Frame is in good condition with some scuffing, tape residue and is a little loose.
Measurements: Print measures approximately 22 inches wide x 17.5 inches high (sight). Frame measures approximately 29.25 inches wide x 23.25 inches high.
