Overview: Up for sale is an incredible lithograph print by French artist, Paul Guiramand (1926-2007). Guiramand was a well-listed painter, sculptor and lithographer, who was born in 1926 in Saint-Quentin in northern France. In 1943, he entered the École des Beaux-Arts. In 1951, Guiramand, with a painting entitled l’Olympia, (Homage à Manet) won the prestigious Prix de Rome. There followed a period of studies in Rome (1953-1957) after which his career was enhanced with personal exhibitions in London, Geneva, Paris, Chicago and Tokyo. This piece is entitled, "Grey Donkey" (or "Cheval Gris"), and depicts a abstract scene of a donkey pulling a man in a cart. A fantastic piece. It is signed at lower right and identified as an artist's proof at lower left. It comes matted and framed in a nice black wood frame with linen matting.
Condition: Print is in excellent condition. Matting shows some water staining at lower left corner. Frame shows some minor scuffing.
Measurements: Print measures approximately 22.75 inches high x 18.25 inches wide (sight). Frame measures approximately 31.75 inches high x 25.5 inches wide.
