It’s easy sailboat for new sailors to learn ( we knew nothing about sailing), fun to sail for experienced sailors.
We replace all the standing rigging in 2023, so it is good for another 20 years. It has a Yanmar diesel single cly engine that runs great. No outboard engines and no GAS inboard engine that smells and a fire hazard. Best part is that it sips very little fuel. The previous owner had the electrical system redone with new components.
The diver did mention that it was time for the bottom paint to be done.

We purchased the sailboat in Jan of 2021 after looking at more than two dozen other boats.
When we looked at the Oday, we knew this is the boat for us. Before you call us look at boats that are lower priced and twice the price and then come to look at the Oday. It’s just a nice simple sailboat that sails great and is fun to sail. Can be ready to go in under 15 min of getting on board.
The idea was to learn how to sail and see if we like it before we take a big leap of going cruising. While we still have more to learn how to sail, we love the idea of sailing and living on the water. So that brings us to the reason we are selling our Oday and everything else we own to move to Florida to start our adventure.
