Unlimited Sailing Opportunities: Better than owning a boat, Fairwind Yacht Club is an all-volunteer sailing cooperative that owns its own boats. Incorporated in 1967, members have sailing privileges 365 days a year.
We currently have openings at our Channel Islands Harbor Chapter for new members with or without prior sailing experience.
We are a 501C non-profit, incorporated over 50 years ago in 1967 for the purpose of providing sailing opportunities for its members. Members contribute time and effort to keep the boats in great shape and affordable. We are NOT a charter operation, and once you complete the training check-out on a boat, there is no additional cost to sail her beyond your quarterly dues and any fuel used. Fairwind is open to all, all you need is a passion for sailing.
We have over twenty sailboats in Channel Island Harbor; four Capri 14.2 trainers, five Capri 22’s, Catalina 22, Catalina 250, a J-24, a Catalina 270, a Catalina 28, two Catalina 30’s, a Catalina 320, a Jeanneau 36.2 and two Catalina 380. Members have day sailing, racing and cruising options, ASA training and club cruising opportunities.
Come to an Open-House after our Workday on the Third Sunday of every month. Meet members, tour our boats, and go for a sail. Hit Reply above to save your place at our next Open House!
Please Note: Although we have openings at Channel Islands Harbor, the Marina del Rey chapter is full with a waiting list.
