Want to work in the medical field? Want to become a Registered Nurse one day?
The Nursing Assistant course is a 5-10 week program that is designed for students who have expressed an interest in the entry level nursing profession. This course, approved by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and meets Title 22 regulations, will train you to provide care in nursing homes, long-term facilities and hospitals. You will receive 50 hours of theory instruction and 100 hours of clinical experience at a clinical site under instructors' supervision. Graduates of the program meet the state requirements to be eligible to take the California state certification examination. After completing the Nursing Assistant program and successfully passing the state certification test, the student is issued a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification by the state of California.
