Weathered old perfect natural patina.
You can keep it as is or you can paint over them. Maybe hit them gently with some steel wool which is included.
I myself love this beautiful old iron just the way it is you could change the screw in the back and you could make it longer or shorter depending on your application you could use it as a pull handle or you can use it as two matching door knobs for your front door or for your Backyard gates, church pew, cabinets, bed post, Nice decorative conchos, or you could use it for old rustic furniture as handles to pick up the sides of a cool coffee table. They are beautiful and perfectly weathered with the best character flaws!! They look 100 years old as the house on the property was really old. The house was from around the 1860s but I don’t think they are that old.
These were found in a property estate sale in Ventura Ca. They were selling everything- I asked about them and they guy started cracking up and his wife said Sure (they were going to throw it out anyway )I saved them!!
I bought them for a coffee table but there’s nowhere to attach them to my table so now they are up for sale for YOUR project. They make the Concho’s look tiny compared to them.
** Also included are a pair of Screws and you can take those to any hardware store if you need a longer application this also includes some steal wool if you want to do the once over on it.
These are NICE and I can Guarantee you won’t find something this big and old for under $200
Just imagine your front gate with these on the doors! AWSOME!
