310 Catering is hiring an experienced Catering prep cook/ line chef to assist in daily kitchen operations and execute high-volume food production for healthcare commissary clients and private/corporate events across the Ventura County area. This is an immediate opening with a growing local company that values consistency, accountability, and quality.
Position Overview
This is a hands-on role responsible for assisting in daily food production and ensuring all meals meet company standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate has experience in catering or commissary-style kitchens and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, portion, and package large-batch recipes accurately
Ensure all meals are accurate, properly packaged, and served at correct temperatures
Maintain proper food storage, labeling, dating, and allergen controls
Enforce all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards
Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and inspection-ready
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience
(Catering, commissary, or high-volume production kitchens preferred)
Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and allergen awareness
Experience with large-scale or high-volume food production
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Ability to lead calmly in a fast-paced environment
ServSafe certification preferred but not required
