Our restaurant is looking for a hospitality professional with a passion for the art of presentation to join our team as a Host. The host is the critical first impression of the restaurant, and therefore is empowered to create memorable guest experiences. In a professional and friendly manner, they will greet guests, show them to their table or waiting area, or assist them in signing up for the waiting list.
What You’ll Do:
Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area; present menus; announce waiters name;
Offer choice of seating based on guests’ party size and server’s availability;
Inform Guest of current promotions and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handbook to the service staff;
Engaging with guests to ensure they’re happy with food and service;
Read, maintain and make daily entries in the logbook to coordinate communication between shifts and management;
Maintain proper set-up of the dining room;
Remain knowledgeable of the menu;
Receive records and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant;
Engage with guests by providing great customer service;
Keep Host station neat and organized;
Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum of 6 months of experience in a hospitality, restaurant, or fine dining environment preferred.
Strong customer service skills with a commitment to creating a welcoming and positive experience for residents and guests.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly greet, assist, and respond to guest needs.
Positive, professional, and friendly attitude with the ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and assist where needed.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
Willingness to learn, ask questions, and seek clarification when needed.

Compensation:
Salary range between $18-$20 hourly.
