Have recessed (can) lighting? You can easily convert to low voltage lighting with this retrofit kit to convert it from 120V to 12V. This not only saves on energy, but it also allows you to direct a focused light beam WHERE YOU WANT IT, giving a much more dramatic effect (see room scene -- you can't do this with regular downlights!). We LOVED how this light brought out the beauty of our floor in a hallway, and we hate to give it up, but we wanted more light during the day, so we replaced it with a Solatube, but we're hanging onto the rest of our low voltage lighting.
