At California Boat Care we take pride in the restoration and maintaining your boat's finish. We offer complete wash service, whether your boat hasn’t been washed for a while or you are looking for a NEW monthly service. Our service stands above all other maintenance services.
Here are just a couple examples of how we do things better.
We email all our monthly wash customers the weekend before your washing, to inform you of the day that we will be washing your boat. No more wondering if or when your boat will be washed.
Boat Washing
Washing your boat is the last thing you want to do when you arrive to spend the day on the water. Monthly boat washing will reduce your prep time and get you under way. Plus by keeping your boat clean it will maintain its value.
We offer two types of our wash service. Basic and Detailed Washing read below to see which service meets your needs.
Basic Wash
Using boat soap designed for your boat's finish we will wash your boat from the top down, bow to stern. Followed up with drying the complete boat. We wipe down the inside helm area, cleaning the windows and isinglass. The canvas will be cleaned of dirt. (Some canvas may need more work)
Detailed Washing
This is what we do to prepare a boat for a full detailing. Just not the waxing or oxidation removal.
First, we remove any skid, mold and rust marks. Then we clean the vinyl and canvas. After, we clean the inside of the hatches and compartments. Now we wash and dry your boat and finish with polishing the stainless steel.
Pricing
The cost for our services is based on size of vessel, location and extras, like Bimini, type of isinglass etc. This pricing is a rough estimate. In order to give an estimate a visit to the boat will be needed. There are several variances to take in consideration for the care of your boat. I want to make sure my techs have the correct supplies and plenty of time to wash your boat.
Our Monthly Service
First you need to answer a few questions. How often are you going to use your boat, where is your boat located ie : close to the beach, Shade, regarding mold growth.
50% of our customers have their boats washed every two weeks and other have us wash once a month.
Communication
I email all of my customer the weekend before your wash appointment to inform you of the day we will be washing. This will allow you to update us on your boat's availability.
Prices may vary depending on your boat's location and condition. If the boat has not been cleaned in a while, the initial cleaning/detailing price may be higher than the above prices.
Oxidation Removal
To remove oxidation while maintaining your gel coat requires several factors to be taken in consideration. How thin is your gel coat, how bad is the oxidation etc…A cleaner wax will not remove much gel coat, where a heavy rubbing compound will remove more gel coat in the process. We use the three-step process, cutting compound, a polish compound followed up with wax.
Detailing/Waxing
Here are the areas covered during detailing.
Prewash, Removal of skid, rust and mold marks, clean canvas & vinyl, clean gullies. After gel coat conditioning, we do a final wash and polish the stainless steel. Polishing the aluminum is not included. You will need to request this service ahead of time.
Call for an appointment for a free condition inspection and estimate.
* We ask that you make sure all windows and door/hatches are closed.
