The Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of production and operations employees, such as anodizing, chemical processing, packing, and racking. Must have excellent analytical and technical skills, coupled with the ability to manage, and mentor others effectively. Supports company quality initiatives, which includes Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and Quality Management System and drives continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
Monday-Friday 1:30pm-10:30pm + Saturday OT as needed
$30.00-$35.00/hour + Benefits
Responsibilities
• Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
• Read and analyze work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates, resources, and outputs.
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
• Confer with other supervisors and managers to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
• Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as painters, maskers, and inspectors.
• Conduct employee training in work processes and safety procedures or assign employee training to experienced workers.
• Evaluate employee performance.
• Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
• Determine standards and production goals based on company policies, labor availability, and workloads.
• Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, performance, product quality, or efficiency.
• Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
• Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
• Recommend personnel actions, such as hirings, evaluations, promotions, or corrective actions.
• Plan and develop new production processes.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
• HS Diploma or GED
• 5+ years of experience as a Production Supervisor
• Proficient in MS Office and ability to read blueprints
• Must be able to work overtime on Saturdays as needed (usually 9am-2pm)
