VETTER heavy duty leather motorcycle jacket with waist adjustment, zipper tab for connecting to riding pants, padding at shoulders and elbows, + zippered back vents.
Size Large - 42/44 with a SNUG fit, as a motorcycle jacket should.
This is a classic late 80's MC jacket, back when they built them right, & to last for years of regular use.
Solid enough to handle the odd tumble, protect your butt, and live to ride another day.
This jacket protected me on just such a tumble years ago, I got knocked off the bike in a slow speed commuting in traffic accident on the freeway. The jacket has a handful of scrapes to the leather surface, no major damage, NO tears to the leather, NO split seams or stitching, NO structural or significant damage besides scrapes on the leather surface that removed the dye/color.
I got a new bike a cpl y ago, thought I was set for a cool weather jacket, but DAMN, the me of today is notably bigger than I was back then, and my favorite snug fitting MC jacket just wont fit the new me anymore ;-(
Excellent as a spare cool weather jacket that can handle a spill god forbid. Even better for a new rider lookin' to save some $$ on high quality protective gear.... with a little 'character"....
I looked for 4 months at all the new and current leather riding jackets at Cycle Gear etc and while some of the really expensive ones were pretty nice, and looked to be made well, they are crazy expensive- $400-450+++.
The affordable options all have a very "Low cost of production" look and feel to them.. so I ended up buying a nice used leather riding jacket from a local rider from Craigslist as well.
I worked at a MC shop back in the day and I got this jacket for $300 with my discount. They were listing for just over $380 back then.
it has been stored in my closets for the last 20+ years.
I am available almost any time, thanks for looking.
