Celestion 70/80 speakers and Raw pine Bee hive box for Small 10-12' Extension amp speaker project - Brand NEW.
These speakers were pulled from a brand new 2x12 cabinet that was going into a studio they had very little time in use before removal, AS NEW, been sitting in a box for 4 years untouched.
The 70/80 speakers are lower cost options that are good speakers but they may not the best for really loud volumes, high gain and live gigging.. unless you are rockin' that aggro death metal sound
They ARE PERFECT low cost solutions for a small extension cabinet or amp that is meant for practicing, lessons, basically at home / bedroom / living room / garage use....
These were meant for a couple of Bee hive box 1x cabinets for myself and a friend,… a project that my buddy and I just never got around to starting... Speakers priced accordingly $45ea. or $85 for both.
** If you want to build your own extension cab with one of these I ALSO have 2 bee box kits available with most all the “amp cabinet” hardware:
- Handles
- Feet: 1 set of 1in. tall feet for the front of the cabs + 1set of .5in tall feet for rear of each cab so they angle up off the floor Vs lay flat
- Metal corners,
- Jack plates and speaker connection wires
The only other materials needed are:
- some ply or solid wood for the speaker mount panel, and any baffling for the back.
- grille cloth if preferred
- A few feet of 1 in square wood strips to help with speaker panel/ baffle installation
- Stain/paint or some tolex or similar material to wrap the boxes if preferred.
There are MANY youtube videos and articles online on how to build a Bee Box amp extension speaker cabinet. It is not hard and they work fantastically well.
