Bassist Looking to start or join 60s Cover Band

47 year old semi-pro bassist with limited vocal ability looking for the right situation. I've been playing 1-2 times a month in gigging bands for the last 20 years, the last 10 or so have been on guitar, bass was my first instrument and I'd like to get back into playing bass in a regular situation. Looking to find a forming situation, working or near working band doing 50s, 60s early 70s covers exclusively. If it's a forming group, I'd prefer to only get together once the potential core members are found (vocals, guitar & bass) even if we're all playing together and meeting for the first time. Sorry not looking to get together with only a guitar players, jam and "see what happens". Only interested in situations based in or near Ventura proper (Santa Paula, Oxnard, Camarillo). If you are a drummer, vocalist, keyboardist or guitarist looking for the same type of band feel free to respond too, if there enough individual responses I'll co-ordinate getting everyone together.

I am not looking to play for a living or make a living from playing, I do it for fun, but at the same time have no desire to play gigs for free either. Ideal situation would be 1-2 paid gigs a month in the Ventura area and nearly all on weekends. I'm drug free and have reliable pro gear and transportation as well as a steady professional day job.

Please send me some information about what the band is doing or looking to do, song lists, youtube videos etc...
