Hosting a small low key music jam

To make things simple in the beginning there won't be any plans to have any singing or covers.
For this type of situation It can be like herding cats when you put on a jam with everyone wanting to do their favorite cover song and its just not worth the hassle in the beginning.. plus it turns into band practice at the point you start covers and if Im not getting paid I would rather freestyle jam..
Freestyle jam also allows someone with less skill to play simple parts and still be involved.. its a for fun group thing,,,we arent wanting to make a record or be a band or hear someone perform their cover song set list.
Unfortunately due to location we can't use any drum kits, unless its hand drum/cajone.
Most focus would be acoustic guitar tho electric with small busking type amp is fine if you know how to jam with acoustic players .
It will be in a meeting room so there is no need for 20watt amps since most will probably be un-amped acoustic volume...I use an electric with a 5watt amp, barely turned up at all, to give an idea of how to little volume is needed here.
No fancy mixers or set ups will be used for this so it literally will be a low key open room jam.
At heart, I would guess it may be bluesish rockish style playing , since most stuff is based in that and its easy for most anyone to create from that...kind of the music circle idea possibly, just see what we can come up with on the fly.
The dates to start this aren't yet set but it would be Wednesday nights 7pm to 9:30pm and not until after the new year after the holidays are over.
