Looking to make a real difference? ❤️ Fostering a dog is one of the most meaningful ways to help save lives.
At Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue, we are a fully foster-based rescue. That means we do not have a facility — every dog we save depends on foster homes opening their doors.
Right now, we urgently need both short-term foster coverage and long-term foster homes for several sweet, loving dogs in our care.
Some of these dogs already have committed fosters whose dogs need placement for upcoming holidays, travel dates, or weekends. Others, like Axel, need a new long-term foster home starting soon.
Even a few days can make a huge difference.
🐾 FOSTER COVERAGE NEEDED
❤️ Meet Doc: Long Term
Doc is about 65 lbs, neutered, current on shots, and described as adventurous, athletic, playful, snuggly, and also chill. He has that classic loyal, intelligent Cattle Dog personality — he loves being near his people, enjoys comfort, and deserves a stable home where he can decompress and feel safe.
Chestnut Needs foster: May 28–May 31
Chestnut is a small terrier-type mix who is sweet and affectionate once he trusts you. He is best for an experienced, patient foster who can give him structure, space, and calm handling. Chestnut needs a home without other dogs and would do best with someone who understands nervous or reactive dogs.
Bear Bear Needs foster: June 4–June 19
Bear Bear is a young female German Shepherd mix who is extremely sweet, smart, and sensitive. She can be nervous at first but learns quickly, is treat-motivated, and has done well with other dogs. She would likely thrive with a calm, friendly dog companion who can help build her confidence.
Barney Needs foster: June 2–June 19
Barney is a 6-year-old English Bulldog with a sweet, sleepy, snuggly personality. He is dog-friendly and has also done well with cats. He enjoys short walks, cozy beds, and calm companionship. Barney has had some typical bulldog medical/skin/eye needs, but he is very loving and easygoing in the right home.

American Bulldog mixes
Very cuddly and sweet once trust is built
Must live together
Timid and sensitive
House-trained
Energetic, they love their walks
Pull hard on the leash, can be reactive
NEEDS a foster with previous dog experience!
📣 IMPORTANT
Blankets and Jack Jack are not beginner placements — they need fosters who understand behavior, management, and advocacy.
We’re a fully foster-based rescue – we don’t have a facility. That means we can’t save more dogs unless we have more fosters. Right now, we’re urgently looking for kind, reliable people to help us save lives.
We provide all food, supplies, and medical care. You provide a safe, loving home and help show these dogs what it means to be cared for. **This is not a job, this is an opportunity for dog lovers to be compensated for their time and commitment to the dogs care**
✅ ✅ PLEASE READ CAREFULLY – THESE ARE OUR REQUIREMENTS ✅✅:
✅ Must be 21 or older
✅ Must already have ALL approval from landlords, roommates, family, etc. Please do not reach out unless you’re 100% sure you’re able to bring a dog into your home
✅ Must be able to attend adoption events and supply pickups at Petco in West Hollywood every other Saturday. These are required
✅ Must be able to transport the dog to and from vet appointments as needed
✅ Must be able to commit to at least 4 weeks of fostering. If you can only help short-term (a few days up to a week), we still need you – please reach out
