Aggregate Plant Operator

Job Summary

The Plant Operor is expected to perform tasks required to safely and efficiently opere fixed and mobile equipment typically used in an aggrege plant. The Plant Operor is also responsible for being proficient in maintenance and repairs of fixed equipment.

Compension

$30.00-$37.00 HOURLY

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of the plant equipment, mobile equipment and plant site to ensure face, reliable and compliant operions to maximize production and minimize interruptions
• Perform record keeping requirements reling to safety, production and maintenance
• Successfully completes and maintains Method 9 Emissions certificion
• Opere various types of heavy equipment including loaders, haul trucks and wer trucks
• Participe in repair and maintenance activities including screen changes, conveyor belt repair and adjustment, crusher line changes, and perform cutting, grinding and welding as needed
• Interface with internal and external customers, vendors and contractors in a professional manner
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Educion

High school diploma/GED

Requirements/Qualificions

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportion
• Familiarity with aggreges and construction merials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, etc.
• Knowledge and experience in various aggrege plant equipment (crushers, wash plants, conveyors, merial washers, and various other types of fixed and mobile equipment used in the aggrege industry)
• Knowledge of the equipment and methods used in the production process, and reled aspects of merials storage, handling and distribution of aggreges
• Excellent customer service, conflict resolution and communicion skills
• Physical requirements: using various hand tools, working in inclement weher, able to lift/move up to 100 lbs., climbing, walking and standing
• Ability to lift and or move 75 lbs. on a routine basis; 100 lbs. on an occasional basis
• Able to work in wet and /or dry conditions and extreme he and cold
• Current MSHA training certificion preferred
• Experience welding and cutting a plus

Conditions of Employment

Successful candide must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examinion, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA reguled on-going drug and alcohol testing.
