Busy Independent family-owned shop seeking Full Time Automotive Technician. M-F 8a-5p
Domestic cars and light trucks, Asian vehicles, and some European vehicles.
Applicant should be punctual, reliable and honest, and have the ability to work mostly unsupervised. Responsible for test-driving vehicles prior to repair and following completion of repair. Ability to perform repairs including, (but not limited to) as noted:
Lube, Oil and Filter Services
Fluid Services/Exchanges (BG Equipment)
Timing Belts
Water Pumps
Engine Tune-Up
Brake Repairs
Suspension Repairs
Air Conditioning service/repairs
Clutch and Drivetrain Repairs
General Engine/Vehicle Services
** Very limited / No heavy line work (engines/cyl heads/transmissions)
Should possess ability to diagnose OBD-II driveability issues using Snap-On Verus, or Autel diagnostic equipment.
Ability to utilize computer programs (or learn) Mitchell 1 Shop Management, Alldata, and Identifix programs.
Ability to communicate with customers when needed, other employees/technicians, and be a "team player". Must keep workstation and shop equipment clean at all times, dispose of trash, etc.
Must possess a valid CA driver's license, and have a clean DMV record
Full-Time Employment, M-F 8a-5p.
